Where are you registered?
As our wedding is destination, your presence is a gift to us. If you would like to give a gift, we will greatly appreciate a donation to the Rory McDonagh Trust which is linked here. We have a limited registry linked here.
Please note: do not bring cash or any other gifts onto the island as Bermuda has strict import laws and you could be subject to an airport inspection upon your arrival.
Bermuda
What is the best airport to fly into?
Bermuda L.F. Wade International Airport is the sole airport on the island. All major airlines fly into Bermuda and majority have direct flights from major East Coast cities including New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, DC and more.
What transportation is offered? Do I need a rental car?
Bermuda has taxis and buses; both of which will be available at the airport. Bermuda does not offer rental cars with the exception of their micro, electric cars linked here. It is not necessary to rent a car on the island as cabs & buses will be cheaper than a daily rental. Taxis will be available by request from all hotels (please allow time for the hotel to call if hotel does not have their own fleet on standby).
What currency is used on the island?
Bermuda accepts US Dollars in addition to their local currency. Most taxis prefer cash so we recommended for guests to bring small bills in cash.
What weather can we expect?
Bermuda in May typically ranges from 68-78F/20-25C. Please note all events will be outside with some covered areas. As the ceremony and reception are next to the beach we encourage guests to bring a light jacket in case of high winds.
Any other information we need to know?
Bermuda has very strict import laws. We recommend guests to remove all tags and packaging from any personal items to avoid inspections at the airport.
Although Bermuda is small; please allow plenty of time for travel from hotels to venues. We have provided estimated drive times in the Travel and Lodging page.
